A group of us avid hikers went to the Great Smoky Mountains for a weekend of camping and hiking. We did nearly thirty miles in three days and camped at Elkmont inside the National Park.
Myself , Wayne, Joan, Sara, Marietta, Ann and Michelle had a wonderful trip and were all very sore after the weekend adventure.
First up is the Little River Trail. The hike was 3.5 miles to the Goshen Prong Fork and then the return to the trail head. It was intermittent rain and the weather was cool. The Little River was flowing fast and hard; I’ve actually never seen the Little River with that much water.
After the hike, we returned to Elkmont for the evening, had supper and crashed until the morning where the real adventure started!
