Today was a beautiful but soggy day to hike. It was wet the entire time but only rained a little on us towards the end of the hike. Luckily, the heavier stuff moved through before we got there. Because Beaman Park is mainly just woods I took lots of pictures so that I could play around with color, light, saturation and sharpness.
This park is located in western Davidson County in Nashville along the Little Marrowbone Creek just off Clarksville Highway. This was my first visit here in all the years that this park has been here and despite the sogginess, I was happy to be along on the hike.
Two wonderful people, Mary Belle Ginanni and Nabil Wakid of the Murfreesboro Chapter of the Tennessee TrailsAssociation led this hike and we had about eleven people who were all smart enough to bring rain gear or ponchos—I brought an umbrella but it served its purpose.
This park is absolutely beautiful nestled in woods surrounded by Little Marrowbone Creek. There is a fantastic visitors center with a huge deck and boardwalk to see the panoramas of the deep woods. Absolutely beautiful.
